Embracing Accessibility for All

It’s been a month since Global Accessibility Day, and we have spent the last few weeks reflecting on whether we are doing enough. At Profusion, we're all about fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and ensures equal opportunities for everyone. Our consultancy believes that accessibility is the key to unlocking the true potential of our workforce and serving our clients better. So, join us as we dive into some of the initiatives we’ve put in place to make accessibility a top priority.

Our Team

Our EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) working group includes experts of varying backgrounds from a mix of departments who are all passionate about creating an inclusive workplace. This dynamic crew drives exciting initiatives, raises awareness, and puts policies in place that promote accessibility and equal opportunities for everyone.

Our Forums

We love a good chat, and we believe that open dialogue and collaboration are the keys to success. That's why we host company-wide focus groups on trending topics related to accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. These sessions give our team a chance to share their experiences, ideas and suggestions for improvement. We value their insights and use them to constantly enhance our accessibility initiatives.

Our Workspace

We want everyone to feel right at home in our Shoreditch office, no matter their mobility needs. That's why we've made sure our premises have step-free access. We've taken steps (pun intended!) to remove physical barriers, creating a workspace where freedom of movement is a given, regardless of abilities. Sometimes, you just need a change of scenery or a quiet place to focus, and our breakout spaces make that possible! These chill areas are perfect for a little rejuvenation, collaboration, or even some peaceful alone time, which is vital for those with neurodiverse conditions. We've made sure they're designed with accessibility in mind so that everyone can make the most of them.

Our Recruitment

None of that matters if there’s no support at the interview stage. Which is why we believe in providing reasonable adjustments at every stage of the process to accommodate the needs of candidates with disabilities. Just let us know what you require, and we'll make sure you have a level playing field to showcase your skills and potential.

Our Stats

We're all about progress, so we like to keep track of how we're doing. We regularly measure our accessibility initiatives against industry standards to see how we stack up. By comparing ourselves to the best in the business, we identify areas where we can improve and set measurable goals to drive positive change and become the best ourselves! We also commit to diversifying the tech talent pool via our Data Academy Talent Placements and working with local schools in London to deliver interesting talks and work experience.

Our Approach

We know that life isn't a one-size-fits-all kind of deal so we offer flexible working arrangements and the option to work remotely. We want our fantastic team to find a perfect work-life balance that creates an environment that suits their specific needs. After all, when you're comfortable and supported, you can do your best work.

As you can see, at Profusion accessibility is at the heart of what we do. We understand that big talk needs to come with big action, and we're committed to making a real difference to the lives of our employees, enabling us to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

We look forward to improving, but it’s not a bad start!
